Operational process

From product to Digital Product Passport.

NexusDPP guides the manufacturer through a controlled workflow in which every step produces verifiable data, clear responsibilities and an auditable history.

01

Define the product identity

The product, model, variant, batch or serial number is registered. The platform assigns a unique identifier and defines the level of detail at which the passport will be managed.

Identifier · model · variant · batch · serial
02

Collect and organise information

Technical data, materials, documents, certificates and environmental information are organised within one coherent structure. Content can be classified as public, operational or restricted.

Technical data · materials · documents · visibility
03

Review, validate and approve

The responsible user checks completeness, consistency, expiry dates and the origin of evidence. Issues can be rejected, corrected and submitted again for approval.

Rules · expiry dates · revisions · audit trail
04

Generate the passport and link it to the product

Once approved, the DPP is connected to the physical product through a stable URL and QR code. The public view displays only authorised information while restricted data remains protected.

QR code · public page · authorised data
05

Maintain it throughout the product lifecycle

The passport can be updated with maintenance, spare parts, new certificates, logistics events and end-of-life information while preserving versions and responsibilities.

Events · maintenance · versions · end of life
Information governance

A structured information asset, not a collection of cards.

The platform connects data, documents and responsibilities within one model that can be used by different business functions without duplicating information.
